Society Against Violence Everywhere |

The Society Against Violence Everywhere (S.A.V.E.) foundation is a proactive community organization dedicated to driving positive change that supports a safe and violence free community through the funding of educational initiatives, community programs, services and activities with a focus on youth.

S.A.V.E. will support new and existing programs, services and events through community fund raising events and donations, corporate and private.

Release, Waiver & Indemnity

I should not enter or participate in this event unless I am medically able. I assume all risks associated with walking in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application, I for myself, my heirs, executors, successors and assigns Hereby Release, Waive & Forever Discharge Society Against Violence Everywhere (S.A.V.E.) Foundation, the City of Oshawa, Regional Municipality of Durham, YWCA (Durham) Durham Regional Police Service, Oshawa Civic Auditorium, NEUTRON Fitness & Sports Organization, all directors, sponsors, facility, their officers, agents, employees, co-sponsors, officials and sub-contractors, volunteers, its merchants, representatives and their respective tenants, members, officers, employees, directors, volunteers, and all other associations and agencies, of and from all claims, demands, lawsuits, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action whether in law or equity, in respect of death, injury, loss, theft or damage to my person or property however so caused , arising or to arise, directly or indirectly by reason of my participation in the said event, whether as a spectator, participant, volunteer, competitor or otherwise, whether prior to, during, or subsequent to the event. I further hereby undertake and save harmless and agree to indemnify all of the aforementioned, from and against any and all liability incurred by any or all of them arising as a result of, or in any way connected with my participation in the said event. By submitting this entry, I acknowledge having read, understood and agreed to the above release, waiver and indemnity. I warrant that I am physically fit to participate in this event. I further agree not to make any claim or to take any proceeding against any other persons or corporations who might claim contribution or indemnity under the provision of the Negligence Act (Canada/elsewhere) or any similar Negligence Acts, regulations or other provisions, and the amendments thereto or otherwise from the indemnities. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my photographs, videotapes, motion picture recordings, or any other record of this event or for any S.A.V.E. events, promotions or publications.
